We are all this, and were born this, and no matter how far away we have been moved or have moved ourselves, we are still this. We are the child, the repository of innocence vastly in need of the comfort and security of being able to lay on the mother, our earth, put our hand on her heart and draw sustenance while we deeply dream.
What are we dreaming? We are returning to our origins, where we were before we were born in a human body. We are re-connecting with why we chose to come here and we are being strengthened for the journey by this profound comfort we get when we let the mother do what she does so well . . .support our being while we are in a body.
Fast forward to the deep forgetfulness so many fall into as the lairs and traps catch the mind and convert innocents into embodiments of worldly ambition and beings entranced by the 'bright shiney things' that get dangled in front of us.
The mother gets forgotten. Worse yet, she gets abused. Bad precedents are followed by even worse precedents. But, time is up. The tipping point has been reached. It is do or die time. So what do we do, what can we do, and what needs to be done.
May I suggest, a return to becoming the babe. When all seems temporarily lost, and you are flailing, seek out the mother. Lay on the beach. Float in the sea. Hike amongst stately trees, frequently reaching out to touch them and stop and sit down with your back against them. Watch clouds. Go barefoot and put your consciousness in your feet. Stare into fire. Catch the first rays of dawn. Soak up the afterglow of sunset. It's all the mother enfolding us, when we do these things. It is what we need like we need our own breath. Without it, we won't make it.
When storms huff and puff, and sun parches landscapes and waters rise, this is not the mother trying to scare us. These things are mirroring to us what we have refused to acknowledge. The mother wants BALANCE, for us, and for herself, and sometimes, in teaching us the importance of balance, she has to show us in no uncertain terms what imbalance creates.
It's not too late. Not in the least. Balance is waiting to be reclaimed at every corner of your existence. The way to do it is always to first, re-capture the babe inside yourself by letting the mother give to you. Then turn around, go back into the 'wilderness' of civilization, and let your nourished self give of your talents to do what you can where you can.
You will be very effective, once you have slept and dreamed again, on the Mother's great and generous body.
