The understanding of the snake coiled at the base of the spine came to us Westerners primarily from the Eastern cultures of spiritual understanding. East and West have comingled enough that now all over the world, it is recognized that humans are constantly going through a process of awakening and remembering who they are through the agency of this etheric process of energetic movement that allows the unseen world and the seen world to blend and meet. The effects of this process are sometimes extraordinary and highly unusual leaving many at the mercy of experiences for which they have no precedent.
The times we are living in currently are so rapidly expanding the potential of what it means to be human that more and more people are riding these amazing energetic waves within their own being. This is not the time to rush to conclusions about what is happening to us. It is most definitely the time to realize that whatever is happening has purpose behind it and is not your enemy.
Many people now are able to refer to the time or times of "their opening", and that is saying it about as well as could be said. These experiences pull back the veils. We are allowed to see and know in whole new ways. Sometimes, the only really good way of sharing what comes through is through art.
Always, it is good to be with others who have already "opened" to assist at these amazing times of birthing our more advanced selves, for those who have not been through it will attempt to interpret through too narrow a lense. What is needed is love and space to have the experience and be kept safe from interference until you get to higher ground.
However odd your experience, you are not alone, and even though you cannot tell at first, something wonderful is happening, if you are in a place of love and safety. This is something we can do for each other, to assist at these times. The ancient Incans had a very high value in their culture on 'reciprocity'. When you have gone higher in your consciousness (or 'awareness of what is', if you prefer) then it is your job to give a hand up to your younger brother who hasn't arrived yet. As we do this, we all get to arrive at the mountaintop and share the incredible vistas we never knew were there before. It is far better as a shared experience, and it is most assuredly where we are all headed.
