cedar waxwings on their migratory visit on Tybee
This is a love letter, one long overdue.
On Mondays, for going on over two years, a gathering occurs spanning the globe. We, all the sundry beings that we are, connect on a free conference call line, which was started by one lone soaring spirit named Kati. Next thing you know, there were three of us soaring together, of which I was one, and now we are the many.
There is something magical afoot in what we do together. We are each so unique and yet, when we combine, we are lifted as one. We have no agenda. We have no rules. What we have is a flowing together that is effortless, rewarding and never predictable.
I am not exactly sure where the name 'Lovercraft' came from though I think it was Donna who donated it, but it fits. We travel around together in spirit and all manner of magic results. The giftedness and 'specialities' of each person becomes apparent in each contact we have, yet, we have no hiearchy. No one is at the helm though Kati is the revered launcher-in-chief. Speaking up happens just the way it happens and we all adapt and adjust to the rhythms. It just works.
I have seen other groups attempting to form around shared values and pictures of what is going on currently and I have seen a kind of awkardness that can happen trying to get things to run smoothly, especially in the beginning. From day one, the Lovercraft has not been awkward. It is a beautiful example of what happens when not trying to make anything happen.
I am convinced we are a vehicle of the future inhabiting the present. So much new needs to be created in this time of disengaging from the tired and dying structures of the past, and that is what we are doing week to week in the most amazing of ways. We are the wind under each others wings. The more we give, the more we receive. Like the cedar waxwings in the picture, we migrate in spirit all over the world just responding to what is going on in the moment and in so doing, are lifted very high ourselves..
I know lovercrafts are forming world wide. This just happens to be the one I am familiar with. I just wanted to say a big, re-sounding, wingflapping thank you to all the ones on our weekly call who choose soaring and sharing as the way to be.
