Yours Truly - Polar Plunge 2006
Here's the thing. 2012 changed us. It really did, in ways we don't even know about yet. Part of you knows everything about you, but that is not necessarily the one you talk to inside your own head.
Because we are new, I think 2013 is a great year to trust that inner urging to go out on a limb, take a risk, make your heart sing a whole octave higher and for goodness sake ( and I actually mean that literally) when you are inspired to do something that may make no sense and may seem like a radical departure from your accustomed way of doing things, just do it. Nike was right.
I am certainly not saying go off the deep end and defy common sense but common sense itself received a major upgrade in 2012. You don't want to be like the bear used to walking the parameters of his cage and, when the cage was lifted off and he had his freedom, he kept walking the same parameters.
This year I feel is aching to receive our gifts. Your first gift to this world is you yourself, and the best way to give the gift of you is do what pleases you to the point you think you are going to burst wide open. It's time for our work and our play to be the same thing. Let's make it so in this year that carries the magical number 13 in it.
